Seeing Past Appearances
Some years ago in Honolulu, a young woman in one of our [Infinite Way] classes who was taking a bus home had her attention attracted to a man at the rear of the bus, very boisterous and obscene in his language.
She immediately began to realize that God was manifest as individual being, that each individual includes all that God is, and that individual being has only the qualities of God.
She did not treat [attempt to heal] the man; she did not know the truth about the man or condition. She began with herself, and finally he came over and said, "Thank you, Miss, for praying for me. I'm all right now." (p. 94)

Reflection: Notice how this young woman helped this troubled man by understanding in a deep and profound way that what she was witnessing as the man's behavior was simply an appearance and that the man in his most true self was God made manifest. Imagine what our lives would be like if we could open ourselves to God in this way—seeing with God's eyes.

One With God
We have within ourselves an inner drive toward union with the Supreme Reality…that thirst in all of us for deeper, more intense interpenetration with God.
George A. Maloney
Thou dost keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.
Isaiah
See that you never wander from God's hand….never for a moment be without remembrance of Him. The remembrance of God is force, power, strength, and endurance; it is the feathers and wings to the bird of Spirit.
Rumi
Are our lives unshakable, because we are clear down on bedrock, rooted and grounded in the love of God?
Thomas Kelly
Perfection is not in exhibition of miraculous powers, but perfection is to sit among people, sell and buy, marry and have children; and yet never leave the presence of God even for one moment.
Sayyid Al-Kharraz
Reflection: What these masters of mysticism are saying to us is that our true peace, strength and salvation are most fully realized in our communion with the Divine. How sensitive are we to hearing this call deep within us to rest at one with God, and thus open ourselves in full measure to God's abundant grace?

God Is Our Source
When we have God, we have supply. Our task is to acknowledge God and realize Him as the Activity, the Source, and the Law of supply. We must acknowledge God as our sufficiency….If you hold in your consciousness that God is the only Source of your supply, you will always have your supply….You may say, "But I do recognize God as the Source!" How often and how consistently do you? It must be more than an occasional thought. It must be a continuous activity until your consciousness is so imbued with the realization of God as Source that it becomes automatic and you no longer need to consciously think of it. Then the flow begins. (pp. 65-66)
Joel Goldsmith
Invisible Supply
Reflection: Opening ourselves to the good that God always makes available to us can best happen when we keep open our connection to God. Indeed, our good readily comes to us when we stay in communion with God to the point that there is no wavering in our minds that God is our source and our communion with God is our supply.

Do Not Worry
Jesus warned his followers not to be anxious….Metaphysicians, who study the mind and its many modes of action, find that when they refuse to let thoughts of worry, anxiety, or other distraction act in their minds, they gradually establish an inner quietness that finally merges into a great peace. This is the "peace of God, which passeth all understanding." When this peace is attained, the individual gets inspirations and revelations direct from infinite Mind (pp. 81 to 82)

Reflection: God is always available to us; however are we always making ourselves available to God? When we entertain worried or anxious thoughts we obscure the light of God that perpetually surrounds us--much as clouds obscure the rays of the sun that shines above. And so to be open to God suggests that we not let linger in our minds worried or anxious thoughts, rather that we live in a faith that banishes worry and anxiety, knowing that God's inspiration for us in most abundantly living our lives will come from within ourselves—from who we truly are…our GodSelf.
I am telling you not to worry….do not worry….
Set your hearts on his kingdom first…
and all things will be added unto you….do not worry... (Matthew 6:25-34)
