Sacred Service
The Gift We Give To Ourselves and Others
“Let’s do something beautiful for God”
Mother Theresa
Sacred Service is a very powerful and mysterious practice. Through sacred service, we immerse ourselves in the flow of grace which brings about our own spiritual and personal transformation. Sacred service is a gift we give to ourselves, as well as others. In Eastern traditions, this is called Seva, and is one of the most powerful and sacred paths to enlightenment.
At Unity Santa Fe, we believe that sharing our passions and our spiritual gifts is a vital part of our spiritual growth. A benefit of service in a smaller church like ours is that you have the opportunity to make a bigger impact in the area you serve. We are love in action.
So, what might you be called to do? It’s as easy as looking at what you love. Wherever your passions are, that is your key to sacred service. Whatever you like to do, there is a place for you in our sacred service program – and if there isn’t, let’s create something together that works for you.
This page includes detailed descriptions of each service ministry to help you choose what best expresses YOU as Love in Action. If you haven’t yet decided if sacred service is right for you at this time, our hope is that after reading this booklet, something will ring in your heart, and you will say “I want to do that!” Please return the completed information sheet to the church office. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us any time.
