Unity Youth

Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out. To be always entertained is to be dwarfed and dependent. To be “called out” is to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment. Who meddles with the rosebud? What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty? We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding, but our children? Have we dealt as wisely with these buds of marvelous possibilities? Have we always remembered that they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius?
What is Y.E.S.?
Youth Expressing Spirit! are young people age 12 & under, who are given the opportunity to learn in a loving environment where they have fun, meet new friends and express their creativity as they are introduced to the Unity Principles.

What is Y.O.U.?
The Youth of Unity (YOU) are teenagers, 13 to 19 years of age, who desire to learn Unity principles, serve the community, and share loving spiritual fellowship.
What do they do?
They explore, discover, and develop their inner Christ potential in a safe, loving and supportive atmosphere. They discuss challenges, concerns, and Unity truth principles with other Truth-oriented teenagers. They have fun, plan activities, and raise money for Rally and International Conference. They celebrate life and express appreciation and joy in their togetherness. They take leadership roles in planning Sunday lessons, community service projects, and fun activities such as lock-ins, swim parties, roller skating sessions, and fundraisers. They spend time in prayer and meditation, developing a consciousness of Oneness.
What is “Rally” and “Conference”?
Each Unity church sponsors their own YOU chapter. At least once a year, all the chapters in a YOU region come together for a weekend retreat called a Rally. Rallies feature family workshops that build consciousness, leadership, and self-esteem. Concerts, speakers, a dance or talent show, and election of regional officers are also a part of the rally program.
International YOU Conference is held each summer at Unity headquarters at Unity Village, Missouri, for six days. It is a time when chapters from all over the world join together for fun, fellowship, prayer.
How do adults participate?
Each Unity chapter has at least one adult sponsor who provides a Sunday lesson and guides the group’s activates. The sponsor works with the YOUers on all projects, advises the officers and promotes a spirit of cooperation in the group. While the sponsor is present to assist, support, and oversee, the major responsibility for planning, conducting and evaluation activities rests with the YOUers.
How do I become a member
If you are between 13 and 19 years of age, with a desire to join and a willingness to participate in activities, just attend three consecutive Y.O.U. meetings and you’re in. Call 595-989-4433 or E-mail us at unitysf@newmexico.com for more information
Throughout the year our YOU will conduct money making projects. All money raised is put into a special account and helps finance cost of retreats and special events. We thank everyone that has supported our cause! Our main mission is the Regional Youth of Unity Rally. Out future goal is the International Youth of Unity conference held each spring at Unity Village.
