"Conversations about Race” is a group of individuals who gather to talk, to become aware of our own racial feelings, beliefs, and behaviors—and to explore how we can become more compassionate. Together, we’ll try to figure out how to make our conversations meaningful and accessible to all who are interested.
We believe we can raise awareness of how racism operates in ourselves, in our relationships, and in our society. By doing so, we become better selves, friends, neighbors, citizens. We welcome new members.
Sunday, August 4th topic includes a discussion of the movie, Do the Right Thing, written and directed by Spike Lee in 1989.
