April's Prayer Column - "A Living Prayer" 🙏🏽

April and Easter are times of renewal. I have been exploring the concept of the resurrection in relation to this season and these times we live in. 

Exploring the dictionary I learned that one of the meanings of the word resurrection is ‘to spring up again after being cut (referring to plants)’. It is from the Latin verb ‘resurrēctio’ which means to rise again. Synonyms are: Revival, rebirth, renewal, resurgence, reanimation, and reawakening. Ex. “What looked like a resurrection was actually an introduction.” The first use of resurrection in print was not until the 14th Century

You are a living prayer and your dreams and desires matter in the cosmic fabric of all life. 

What would you like to resurrect in your life? A talent, a dream, a habit or practice?

Where have you left parts of yourself behind that you miss and may want to reconnect with?

The word Christ means ‘light’. Have you been feeling dark or heavy? Where would you like to bring more light into your life or the lives of those you care about?

This spring let us give ourselves permission to spring forth into love and light with new creativity and a new outlook on life. We can resurrect our dreams, our enthusiasm and our faith, one step at a time. These things are important. Your life is your living prayer in the world.
