Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
FOOD FOR ALL
As you may have heard, federal funding for food banks has been drastically reduced. As a LOVE IN ACTION COMMUNITY, we are called to step up and help. For the month of August, our Care & Share program will be collecting non-perishable food for The Food Depot. This includes food in cans, plastic jars (no glass, please), and other packaged food such as rice, pasta, cereals, etc:
ITEMS ACCEPTED THIS MONTH:
• Canned Goods
• Plastic Packaged Goods
(NO GLASS PLEASE)
ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
