Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Fostering Creativity in Kids
Personal hygiene items are something that everyone needs, but low-income people struggle to afford. Our beloved Santa Fe Food Depot has recognized this need, and they are now distributing these kinds of items to those who need them. BUT that means that these supplies must be donated by the community, which means US. As a matter of fact, The Food Depot reached out to Unity and specifically asked for them. So, for the month of July, our Care & Share program will be collecting things like soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shave cream, etc., whatever it takes to keep clean.

ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
