March's Prayer Column - "My Prayer for Today" πŸ™πŸ½

As I rise in the morning, I know the Presence of the Beloved and I give thanks. Whether there is sunshine, rain, or snow, I give thanks that the earth, her plants and creatures are being nourished and energized. As I prepare my meals, I give thanks for the food I eat and for the farm workers, truck drivers, grocers, and all those who labor to supply me with sustenance. When IPrayer Image turn on a lamp or appliance, I rejoice in the energy that is provided to me and appreciate those who ensure it is there at the touch of a finger. When I turn on a faucet or shower, I am grateful for clean water that hydrates and cleanses me.Β

Today, I pray for those who are deprived of these necessities through no fault of their own – those who have no safe shelter, no fresh water, no light against the darkness, no access to food. Because of our Oneness, I hold them in my heart and affirm that God is Present in all situations. Wherever possible, I do what I can to alleviate the suffering of others whether in a distant country or my own backyard. I perform whatever acts of kindness and generosity that are mine to do and I give thanks that I have enough to share. I affirm that I possess the strength, grace, and wisdom to be a light in the world and to illuminate my little corner of it with Love in Action.

And so, it is!
