Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Snuggle Up in a Warm Bed
People who move into housing after being without a home need EVERYTHING! One of the most urgent needs at this time of the year is BLANKETS. Rise Up Santa Fe, an organization that that provides necessities to newly housed people, and headed up by Unity congregants Phyllis and Judge Johnson, has requested lots of blankets! During the month of November, please bring in new or gently used blankets (no frayed edges or holes, please) to support their work. They also desperately need more volunteers to help with their work. Please talk with Phyllis or Judge to find out how you can help them serve people.

ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
