Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Beds and Baths
When our neighbors without homes move from the streets to the shelter at Consuelos's Place, they need clean sheets for their beds and clean towels. They also need hangers for their clothes. For our Care & Share collection drive for the month of September, please bring:
ITEMS ACCEPTED THIS MONTH:
• Twin-size sheets (new or gently used)
• Towels (no frayed edges or holes, please)
• Hangers
ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
