December's Prayer Column - "Holding Sacred Space" 🙏🏽

The picture to the right is an image of a quote I have used to keep me focused in life. It is partially attributed to Rev. John Wesley who founded the Methodist Church. Is this what Christ teaches? Is this what we are called to do from our inner most heart and soul? A Calling

One of the ways Unity teaches to practice these guidelines is to “Hold Sacred Space”. Holding Sacred Space means to recognize that God and Love exist within any situation or circumstance. Holding that awareness and vision is a way to be of service these days no matter what conditions we see in our personal life or the world at large.

Holding the vision and the intention to see God and Love in every situation harnesses the power of intention as we learned in our recent book study of E-Squared, by Pam Grout. Our thoughts and feelings are communicated through the field of potentiality to others. We can make a difference everyday by what we think and feel. I offer this short prayer this month that has helped me to hold sacred space when I need to recenter into peace and tranquility for my world.

“I center myself in an awareness of God and Love. God is already centered in me. I open my heart and mind to divine peace and feel its harmonizing power within me and around me. This is grace, and I am grace-filled.” (From the booklet Prayers from the Heart of Silent Unity)
