Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Gifts for Kids
We're reviving a pre-pandemic tradition here at Unity Santa Fe, buying Christmas gifts for kids through the Adelante program for children without homes. Look for the angel in the foyer with tags hanging off it. Each tag has a kid's name, age, gift request, and size. Take a tag, purchase and wrap that gift, and return it to Unity no later than Sunday, December 14. Then feel the gratitude of giving, knowing you made one child's holiday a little brighter!
This December, we partnered with Adelante, here in town, to provide 40 Xmas gifts by Sunday the 14th.
So this is our last Sunday to pick a child's name tag with their wish of the gift they'd like to receive this Xmas, off of the Angel Tree in the Foyer. The gifts have to be back by the following Sunday, the 14th, as the gifts are being distributed to the children the following day.
We started out with 40 children's names last Sunday and we only have 12 more to go to be complete!! So please help us be successful in this time of need for these children & know that the gifts need to be wrapped with the tag attached, not just in a bag with tissue.

ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
