June's Prayer Column - "Daily Affirmations" 🙏🏽

This morning as I was making my little dog’s breakfast it occurred to me that I could be blessing this food for her.May your heart be kind, your mind be firece, and your spirit be brave I hadn’t thought of that before. This being human thing can be so full of ideas, inspirations and distractions. It seemed like such a common sense thing to be putting love into my babies food everyday, every time. The thought had escaped me though.

How many opportunities during the day do we have to send thoughts that are blessings out into our world? How much more would we be at peace if we were concentrating on the blessings all around us? I know I get caught up in the daily routines and distractions.

Just yesterday as I was driving in Santa Fe, I saw a man with a lovely dog. He held a sign for donations but he was on the opposite side of the street from me. So I sent him a blessing of good will since I couldn’t give him a financial donation.

We all need blessings. It’s a tough job being a human at this time in the world. Blessings are prayers we send with the love and compassion we have in our heart. It’s cliche but WWJD! I vote we walk the path of love and compassion first for ourselves and then for all life.
