Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Canine Companions
For some people without homes, their dogs are their only friends. Street Homeless Animal Project is a caring organization that provides help and support to these people and their canine companions. They provided us with a very specific list of needed items that they will pass on to the people and dogs who need them.
ITEMS ACCEPTED THIS MONTH:
- Guardian large collapsable dog bowls, 34-ounce, package of 2 for $12.99, available on Amazon.
- Kong or Arcadia brand leashes, available at PetSmart or online.

- Small bags of kibble, Wholehearted Petco brand, any flavor, available at Petco on St. Michaels
- Camo tarps, 5x7 or 9x12, available at Harbor Freight and many hardware stores.
- Gallon jugs of drinking water, available at any grocery store.
- ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
