SOUL Circles - Descriptions and Info:
Deadline to sign-up is June 14th.
Circles begin week of June 21st.
(Circles are 4-6 weeks and are generally 90min or 2 hour sessions, though they may vary)
1. Pivot to Peace: A process to arrive at inner peace, no matter what.
By Gillian Corcoran - In-Person - Wednesdays at 2pm
Together we will explore the first draft of Gillian's new book, "Pivot to Peace" which integrates the process of labyrinth walking with 5 A's: Acknowledge, Accept, Align, Allow and Act authentically. During the 6 week period we will practice the "Pivot to Peace" process and experience labyrinth walks, guided meditations and have one (optional) group hypnotherapy session.

2. My Creative Spirit

How does your creative spirit manifest in your life? Do you love to write poetry, draw, paint, take photographs, compose music? Are you a crafter expressing yourself through needlework, collage, macrame, beadwork, or other creative pastimes? Would you enjoy sharing your creations with others in a supportive, mutually inspiring group? If so, then join me on Zoom on Fridays from 6 – 7:30 p.m. MT for six weeks beginning on June 19th. Bring samples of your artistic endeavors to show, read, or play whether they are completed or works in progress and talk about your process with others who share your passion. Don’t have anything to share yet? Come and be inspired. All are welcome

4. Talking to Strangers

The spirited Souls in this Circle are willing to stretch and expand their comfort zones. With the understanding that the ripple effect of our actions extends far beyond what we perceive and knowing that giving love is identical to receiving love, we will look for any opportunity to connect with others. Starting a conversation with a stranger will always require setting some fear aside and taking a tenuous step. “Do you come here often?” “I like your hat.” are simple ways to initiate an encounter, all the while knowing that our only intention is to share love. Many times merely eye contact and a smile will create the blessing we wish to bestow. But a conversation can have very rich results. There are no strangers. There are no others.

Unity Santa Fe SOUL Circles (previously SpiritGroups) are small groups of members, congregants and friends who meet three times a year for 4-6 weeks. Each group has a Facilitator who offers to lead the group in an activity, book study, or discussion group of their choice. The group may meet at the Facilitator's home, the home of a Host who is part of the group, online via Zoom, or in a public venue. The purpose of SOUL Circles is to offer the opportunity to get to know others in your spiritual community on a deeper level than is possible at the Sunday service or other community activities. SOUL Circles also plan and carry out a Social Action that benefits either the Unity Santa Fe Community or the greater community of Santa Fe through volunteer efforts. All Facilitators will attend an orientation prior to meeting.
Through our SOUL Circles, we have the opportunity to experience a deeper level of the following qualities:
S - Spiritual Growth: We enrich our spiritual lives through the study and discussion of spiritual ideas as well as spiritually nurture ourselves with our devotion to prayer and meditation.
O - Openness: We open our hearts and minds to share freely our thoughts, beliefs, and stories of our individual journeys. We do this in an atmosphere of safety and confidentiality that warmly welcomes others from the greater community.
U - Unity: We come together to experience and express our Oneness with each other, our human family and indeed, the whole of creation, both material and spiritual.
L - Love: We put feet on the Power of Love through the support we offer to one another in our circles, especially during times of challenge. We also serve the larger community through acts of sacred social service that, in turn, expand and enrich our own lives.
