Love Offering
All traditions welcome. Suitable for all experience levels - beginners and advanced.
Join us as we journey to the heights of consciousness, explore the potential of meditation assisted by a daily selection of esoteric and traditional techniques, and join to meditate as a group - to augment our meditation practice and bring that increased awareness, elevated vibration, and mystical presence even further into our daily lives. And especially when alchemically paired with astrological insight, this meditation helps us to align more effectively with the present moment in spacetime, and find ourselves exactly where we need to be.
Each day our meditation topics are centered around the Mayan Day Sign of the calendar day from the ancient spiritual calendar of the Maya, ie the Tzolkin (or Cholqij'). In addition to our meditation practice, Brendan offers a unique and inspirational update for the collective including Western, Chinese, and Mayan Astrology, Human Design, and Numerology as well as a special "Light Seers" Tarot reading specifically for those present.
This Tuesday, August 19th, our practice will center on the Mayan Daysign:
Kan (kahn) - Spider:
Efficacy, Self Confidence, Networking, Sexuality
Uranus and Saturn make their second of three sextiles over the course of a year, which gives the opportunity for forward-progress, creative solutions and innovation throughout the different areas of life.
Mercury and Mars will spend this week, very unusually, moving at the same speed from our perspective, while remaining in a sextile themselves. This is a great time for the above, especially taking action making progress, getting healthy, and finding balance and happiness in a very sophisticated time.
Venus also offers the opportunity, with the Trine to the North Node, for positive and harmonious forward progress again, particularly in relationships and finances. Venus along with the above gives us the opportunity to prepare, take care of things, and make good things happen. It is wise to take advantage of this, especially before we come into Virgo season and Eclipse season. Both of which look a good bit more dramatic and less suited for such things.
In Ba Zi (Chinese Astrology) we are still in our Jia Shen (甲申) month— the Wood Monkey — the beginning of autumn in the Chinese solar calendar, when Metal is the prevailing seasonal Qi. Here, Jia (Yang Wood) rests atop Shen (Yang Metal Monkey), creating a natural controlling cycle as Metal controls Wood in 5 element theory. This dynamic can feel demanding, urging us toward discipline, pragmatism, and the strategic pruning of ideas, projects, and habits. This month is less about creating new things and is more about the testing and strengthening or deconstructing of what already exists. This energy also serves to challenge our character, as we’re pushed to self-care and build resilience and the ability to endure challenges. The Snake and Monkey in Ba Zi also form multiple interactions which suggest opportunity with a bit of discomfort. Ultimately, this is a preparatory period where strategic analysis and selective deconstruction lay the groundwork for our later success.
Join us as we sit together to meditate on the very powerful Mayan day known as Oxlahun Kan, as we use our practice to develop our efficacy, confidence, and self-love to most fully experience this powerful time.
