1.  Wild Blessings ~ Forest Bathing In the Church of Wild

By Alix Peters - In-Person - Wednesdays at 1pm

Are you ready to walk on the wild side?...

Forest bathing is a sacred leisurely, yet observant walk with nature. During this sacred time in nature’s embrace, your Guide will share mindfulness practices, and invitations, designed to connect you more deeply to your inner landscapes, as well as the world around you. This soulful experience of healing and wellness-promoting effects of “shinrin-yoku” from Japan, is the practice of bathing the senses in the atmosphere of the forest. Forest bathing is an awakening of your senses, thoughtfully designed to assist you in reconnecting with the beauty and wisdom, ever-present in nature.

On a forest bathing walk, you will experience a series of guided, gentle invitations to open the senses, cultivate presence, and invite healing interactions between yourself and the natural world. As a memorable finishing touch, you will enjoy a closing ceremony with a delicious tea.

Get ready to walk on the wild side…

We will leisurely stroll through the many trails behind Unity Santa Fe, with the average meeting time 1.5-2 hours, depending on our speed. Safety is key and these walks will be over uneven terrain that will require balance, stamina and good shoes. Expect possible risks in the landscape and err on the side of caution with any physical limitations. This Soul Circle is best suited for folks that feel comfortable hiking/walking and being outside in the elements.

2.  NDE Study

By Bill Glaser - In-Person - Mondays at 6pm

NDEs (near death experiencers) are amazing teachers. Each week the participants in this Soul Circle will listen to an interview of a near death experiencer and bring to our meeting their response. How believable and authentic did the person seem? What did they say that confirms your own beliefs and what message did they present that is new for you? If you are not familiar with these types of interviews you will be deeply moved and inspired.

“Miracles can occur and healings will happen”

Unity Santa Fe SOUL Circles (previously SpiritGroups) are small groups of members, congregants and friends who meet three times a year for 4-6 weeks. Each group has a Facilitator who offers to lead the group in an activity, book study, or discussion group of their choice. The group may meet at the Facilitator's home, the home of a Host who is part of the group, online via Zoom, or in a public venue. The purpose of SOUL Circles is to offer the opportunity to get to know others in your spiritual community on a deeper level than is possible at the Sunday service or other community activities. SOUL Circles also plan and carry out a Social Action that benefits either the Unity Santa Fe Community or the greater community of Santa Fe through volunteer efforts. All Facilitators will attend an orientation prior to meeting.

Through our SOUL Circles, we have the opportunity to experience a deeper level of the following qualities:

S - Spiritual Growth: We enrich our spiritual lives through the study and discussion of spiritual ideas as well as spiritually nurture ourselves with our devotion to prayer and meditation.

O - Openness: We open our hearts and minds to share freely our thoughts, beliefs, and stories of our individual journeys. We do this in an atmosphere of safety and confidentiality that warmly welcomes others from the greater community.

U - Unity: We come together to experience and express our Oneness with each other, our human family and indeed, the whole of creation, both material and spiritual.

L - Love: We put feet on the Power of Love through the support we offer to one another in our circles, especially during times of challenge. We also serve the larger community through acts of sacred social service that, in turn, expand and enrich our own lives.

Love one another. As I have loved you, so you are to love one another. -- John 13:34
