Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Bathroom Essentials
People who have been unhoused and finally find a place to live need EVERYTHING for their new apartment. What's more essential than things like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and any other toiletries and bathroom supplies? For the rest of December and all of January, our Care & Share program will be collecting all those sorts of things for Rise Up Santa Fe, the wonderful nonprofit founded by our own Judge and Phyllis Johnson.
ITEMS ACCEPTED THIS MONTH:
• Toilet Paper
• Soap
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Deodorant
• Any Other Toiletries and Bathroom Supplies
ALSO, Bienvenidos Outreach, a local nonprofit that provides food for low-income people, desperately needs EGG CARTONS. Now you know what to do with those empty egg cartons that you thought there must be a use for! Just bring them to Unity and Marietta Hubler will take them to Bienvenidos.
